  Welcome

The physicians and staff of HealthGuard Medical Network have a special devotion to our profession and to those we serve. While offering primary care services, we have been caring for people in need of healthcare since 2001.  Since our beginning, we have grown both in our services provided and locations.  Originally founded on the idea of a group practice to meet the healthcare needs of the Fox Valley and the surrounding areas, today we have the ability and the facilities to offer the highest quality of medical care in an atmosphere of genuine care.  With our physician groups and related healthcare professionals ready to meet our patient's needs, we at HealthGuard are proud of our accomplishments and contributions to various communities.  One of the many things that has held steadfast over the years is our commitment to providing the highest quality healthcare and treatment to everyone we serve.

High Blood Pressure

 Diabetes Mellitus

Diabetes mellitus is a group of metabolic diseases characterized by high blood sugar (glucose) levels that result from defects in insulin secretion, or action, or both. Diabetes mellitus, commonly referred to as diabetes (as it will be in this article) was first identified as a disease associated with "sweet urine," and excessive muscle loss in the ancient world. Elevated levels of blood glucose (hyperglycemia) lead to spillage of glucose into the urine, hence the term sweet urine.  (read more)
